ChipFixx or bodyshop?

Should you go to a bodyshop or can you fix stone chips, road rash and minor scratches yourself?

If the damage is severe then you may need a bodyshop. But you can expect to pay hundreds of dollars to have whole panels painted. A bodyshop is not going to touchup chips or scratches. They deal in whole panels. Your vehicle could be unavailable to you for days or a week or more if you go the bodyshop route.

If you have stone chips on your vehicle that you’d like to repair by yourself, then the ChipFixx system is the way to go! The paint will match, as it’s mixed up based on the paint code of your vehicle. Have you ever used those dabbing sticks from the car dealer or the local auto supply store? They almost never match, they put big blobs of paint on the surface of your car and they can wash off in a car wash! They look a lot like “measles” do…not nice at all.

Our paint is proper automotive paint. Our solutions are meant to work with the paint in your kit. The surface will be level when you are finished and the repair is permanent! Dabbing stick do none of those things.
